Here's a COOL invention that can
contribute greatly to our quality of
life in Old Town: a mechanical
street sweeper that does the
same job a leaf blower can do, only
better, and without the noise and
dust!
Our thanks to KWNA Citizen of the Week Jeannie Bong for pointing this machine out to us!
So many neighbors have mentioned to us that they don't like the noise from gasoline or even
electric leaf blowers in the close quarters of Old Town. And, let's face it, they're often
operated by a young person from another country that just doesn't "get" the idea that they
are not wonderful, labor-saving devices from the viewpoint of the guy next door.
And our complaints often fall on deaf ears. But here's an ideal remedy!
And they're available right here in town at KEY WEST CHEMICAL

Tell Gilda you heard about it here!
The sweeper picks up
everything a leaf blower would,
and more! You can easily adjust
its brushes to suit the terrain
you want to clean.

It doesn't stir up the air, it's
noiseless, and uses no fuel!

It's easy to fix and adjust.
Instead of pushing debris all over the
place, everything goes into a sturdy
plastic hopper, which you can then empty
into a trash can for easy disposal.

And it doesn't generate a lost of dust for
you and your neighbors to breathe!
The two outside brushes, which you
can easily adjust to a suitable height
for any surface, sweep the leaves
and debris into the center, where
two roller brushes shoot the trash
up into the hopper.
It works just as well, if not better,
than a leaf blower.
It's available right here in Key West.

It's environmentally friendly, and
socially responsible.

It's a viable alternative to leaf
blowers, and every responsible
homeowner in Old Town should consider
using one of these machines rather than
a gas powered leaf blower.
