          Did the guy next to you recently put up a bunch of things                                                          
             that look like licenses in his windows? Bunch of strangers showing up for just                    
                 a weekend, then they're gone? They don't seem interested in telling you who                   
                     there are or where they're from?
Then stay tuned, Bubba. Some say that in th' near future, you'll be livin' next to a permanent
hotel. Some say the fix is in, and all they'll need will be them licenses and a couple of receipts.
Now, to be fair, there's a lot of 'em that say this is just nonsense; ain't gonna happen.

But given the history of Key West, what do you think? Might be a good idea to ask....
DESPITE A RECENT DECISION REGARDING THE TRANSFER OF TRANSIENT UNITS
ORDINANCE
BEING INCOMPATIBLE WITH THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN THERE IS
STILL SOME TALK ABOUT REVISING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, IN LIGHT OF "NEW
REALITIES" AND THE DEMAND FOR "SECOND HOMES"

SEEMS UNBELIEVABLE? IT COULDN'T HAPPEN BACK HOME UP NORTH? THEREFORE,
IT CAN'T HAPPEN HERE?

TALK TO SOME OF YOUR NEIGHBORS. LET THEM KNOW THAT
EVERYONE WILL BE
BETTER OFF IF WE KEEP THE PRESENT 30-DAY RENTAL RESTRICTION FOR OUR
NEIGHBORHOODS.

We'll have better security, higher values, and we'll be able to enjoy our homes!

HELD TO A THIRTY DAY RENTAL, IT'S IMORTANT THAT WE ALL LET THE COMMISSION KNOW HOW

APPARENTLY THESE PEOPLE DON'T

think the real estate people who rent
these, if the police are called, should
be fined. All these rich people who
are sleeping in New York or all over
the United States, while I'm awake
because they have a rental house
down here, should be fined. And
there should be a fine for the real

IN THE LONG RUN, ALL OUR PROPERTIES
WILL BE WORTH MORE IF WE CAN HOLD THE
ZONING TO A 30 DAY RENTAL.
THERE ARE SOME THAT MAINTAIN THAT THIS IS
ALL A "DONE DEAL."  OTHERS SAY IT IS AN
OPPORTUNITY FOR THE COMMISSIONERS TO
PROVE THAT "BUSINESS AS USUAL" IS A MYTH.
